Gateway’s Needy Animals is on the agenda for the next Pine Bluffs City Council Meeting slated for October 5th. We will be giving our proposal for property acquisition to put together a new facility for the rescue and shelter efforts. Part of this proposal includes taking over the responsibility for caring for stray and captured animals that the Police Department currently takes to the over-filled veterinary clinic.
Mayor Shane, being one of the vets at the clinic, is eager to see those animals sent elsewhere as the clinic is understaffed and would prefer that the space used to house these animals be utilized for other needs.
Volunteers including Aaron Turpen, Maureen Crea, and Becky Martinez will be at the meeting at Town Hall to give the proposal for Gateway’s Needy Animals.
Come show your support and hear the proposal and negotiations with the City first hand. We at Gateway’s Needy Animals appreciate your support and feedback in this effort. Thank you!
